It may have seemed inevitable, but Coca Cola has finally entered the energy drink market and has released the first energy drink under the Coke brand called Coca-Cola Energy.

What’s in this energy drink?
Getting to Know Coca-Cola Energy
Coca-Cola Energy could be the energy drink that the market has been waiting for because this energy drink is going to have the iconic Coke taste that people enjoy. It will also be packed with ingredients like B-vitamins and Guarana Extracts that will provide the individual who drinks it with plenty of energy, without having a bad aftertaste.
Energy drink fans can get Coca-Cola Energy in the traditional Coke flavor and also Cherry Coke flavor. This move is sure to excite Coke fans even more because some people will be reminded of the Classic Coca-Cola flavor from years ago and the Cherry Coke Energy will taste a lot like an energy–packed version of Cherry Coke.
Besides offering two different flavors, Coca-Cola’s energy drink will also be available in a Zero Sugar variety as well.
Available Now
Coke launched their energy drink in a big way with a massive advertising blitz including a prime ad spot during the 2020 Super Bowl which featured Martin Scorsese and Jonah Hill. The company has also partnered with Amazon and made it possible for people who own Echo Dot’s to download a new Alexa skill and order a free sample of the product, or they can order it simply by saying “Alexa, order Coke Energy!”.
The iconic beverage company officially rolled out the drink on January 20th. It comes bottled in 12-ounce slim cans and is priced at $1.88 per can at Walmart, while Target is pricing it at $2.69 per can.
This new energy drink lives up to its promises of being packed with energy since it contains 114 milligrams of caffeine in each 12-ounce serving, along with plenty of B-Vitamins. Contrast this to the regular version of traditional Coke which only has 34 milligrams of caffeine in each serving.
Coca-Cola Energy is sure to appeal to anyone who wants to drink an energy drink but doesn’t want to have the chemical or “cough syrup” aftertaste as they may have experienced with other energy drinks in the past.
With summer still months away, it’s shaping up to be a big year for Coca Cola thanks to Coke Energy.
