Tetris® is proud to announce a partnership with Red Bull and the launch of Red Bull Tetris, a global tournament that brings together players from around the world. The competition kicked off June 6, opening up qualifiers worldwide and culminating in a once-in-a-lifetime World Final this December in Dubai, where more than 2,000 drones will render the first official live playable Tetris game in the sky.

Red Bull Tetris is the next chapter, bringing a bold, unexpected twist to the tournament scene and offering fans a spectacular new way to engage with the brand.”
This collaboration with Red Bull is the latest example of how Tetris is reimagining gameplay for new generations. This tournament introduces a unique twist on the Tetris game, with time-limited rounds, gravity shifts, speed boosts, special power-ups, and the coveted Golden Tetrimino. These new mechanics offer an exciting and unpredictable layer to the gameplay, creating an exciting experience for players and fans around the world.
Registration is now open at redbulltetris.com for players aged 18 and up. Qualifiers will compete on mobile devices, with top scorers from each participating country advancing to National Finals, where they’ll go head-to-head on PC in a 1v1 format. National Champions will then earn their spot at the world Final in Dubai, representing their country on a truly global stage.
The Red Bull Tetris World Final will take place in the Dubai Frame, from December 11-13, 2025, which will make gaming history. The final match will unfold live in the night sky – a truly groundbreaking celebration of play, creativity, and technology. This will be an immersive experience with musical performances and appearances from special guests. Finalists will first compete in a seeding round to determine tournament placement before battling it out in a high-stakes global bracket. Then, the top two players will face off in a live aerial match in the Dubai night sky with a playable game of Tetris.
