GoGo Refresh Media recently went behind the scenes at the Galant Food Company to get an inside look at the plant behind Clara’s Kitchen: one of the standout brands in frozen food for vending and micro markets. Hosted by Neil from GoGo Refresh Media, with Josh Galant leading the tour and Len Galant directing, the visit highlights a family business rooted in tradition, quality, and pride.

The original company began in 1956 in San Francisco, started by a family of Russian Greeks making and delivering piroshkis across the city. In the 1990s, the Galant family purchased the business and continued that same mission, preserving the legacy while maintaining the quality and processes that built its reputation. Today, the company remains family-owned, with Clara’s Kitchen carrying that heritage forward through premium ingredients and hands-on production, from shredding all-natural cheese fresh off the block to dicing whole potatoes in-house to avoid unwanted additives.

From early-morning prep on the production floor to shipping products through Vistar to markets across the country, and into retailers like Sprouts and Whole Foods, Clara’s Kitchen is a true farm-to-freezer operation powered by family, heritage, and pride. As Josh puts it, when you put your grandmother’s name and face on the package, quality isn’t optional. It’s everything.
