Deven Chitkara, a 20-year-old student at the University of Southern California and an active vending operator, launched the Linee™ demo two weeks ago. Linee is a first-of-its-kind location intelligence platform designed to eliminate the guesswork from the vending machine business.

“Starting a vending business has traditionally been a gamble. You risk thousands of dollars on a machine investment and hope the location you choose has enough foot traffic to profit,” said Deven Chitkara, Founder of Linee. “We built Linee to turn that gamble into a calculated decision. We want to give independent vending operators the same level of data that big retailers use to select storefronts.”
Until today, vending operators have relied on a manual and inefficient sourcing process. Operators have scouted prospective vending placement opportunities using Google, word of mouth, or visiting locations in person. Linee replaces this outdated method with a mapping interface that uses mobility data to provide revenue estimates on locations and verified property owner contact information.

Linee has already had several hundred operators apply for the demo since launch. While currently focused on the Los Angeles market, Linee plans to expand its data coverage globally by the end of 2026.
