NAMA Award Winners 2021
The National Automatic Merchandising Association today announced the 2021 winners of all four NAMA Industry Awards, which serve to recognize exemplary leaders in the convenience services industry.
- Industry Person of the Year is Greg Sidwell, president of G&J Marketing and Sales, a leading product broker.
- Coffee Legend of the Year is Tom Steuber, president and owner of Associated Coffee Services, a coffee and snacks provider in the San Francisco Bay area.
- Operator of the Year is Jerry Scott, vice president and general manager at Canteen of Coastal California.
- Allied Member of the Year is John Hickey, cofounder of Tech 2 Success.
The 2021 recipients will be recognized and honored for their achievements at The NAMA Show and Coffee Tea & Water in New Orleans.
“The 2021 NAMA Industry Awards represent a longstanding tradition of recognizing the standout leaders, fearless innovators and pioneers of success within convenience services. Greg, Tom, Jerry and John have demonstrated a forward-thinking, people-first approach that has propelled their businesses forward and served as a model for others in the industry,” said NAMA president and chief executive Carla Balakgie.
“The unique value each of them brings to their colleagues, communities and peers is commendable, and I’m thrilled to congratulate them and celebrate their achievements,” she said.
The NAMA Industry Awards are presented to individuals that best exemplify support of the convenience services industry through a history of service and leadership throughout the industry and in their own communities. They must be innovative, possess a willingness to expand conventional practices and follow business standards in accordance with the NAMA code of ethics.
The wards ceremony will take place at the NAMA Show during the general session on Aug. 18 at 1 p.m. CDT. During the ceremony, both the 2020 and 2021 award winners will be recognized, since the 2020 ceremony took place virtually. Click here for Registration.
